12-month CIM Post-graduate Marketing Programme

This Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) professional qualification consists of the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing followed by the Professional Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing. The course duration is 12 months.

This qualification is suitable for students who wish to gain employment in Marketing at management level but who do not currently have the required work experience.

On completion of the Post-graduate Diploma, students can apply for jobs as Product Managers, Marketing Managers, Account Managers and.Product Specialists. Salaries average around 35,000-40,000 per year in most parts of the UK (and higher in London).

Professional Membership
On completion of the programme, students are entitled to obtain membership of the CIM and put the letters Dip ACIM after their name. After several years of work experience, marketing practitioners earn the right to use the letters MCIM after their name. (There is a nominal annual membership fee payable to CIM).

Entry Requirements
Students should have one of the following:
(1) a bachelors or masters degree recognized by CIM
(2) the CIM Certificate in Marketing
(3) a Edexcel HND in any subject (UK only)
(4) suitable work experience in a marketing management role.

Work experience in Marketing is desirable but is not a requirement.

Length of course: 12 months
Course start dates: July and January

Shorter Programme: 6-month CIM Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing
Applicants who have 6 years of marketing management experience with at least 3 years at a senior level are exempt from the Diploma stage and can start directly on the 6-month Post-graduate Diploma. Please contact the college for further details.
