Q. Where will I get the qualification?
A. The college organises its own graduation ceremonies and the students will be awarded the qualification at the function. Students on a University of Sunderland program do have the option of attending the convocation at Sunderland.
Q. How much can we earn after completing my MBA in UK?
A. The starting salary for MBA graduates in the UK is £25,000 per year. It will depend on the personality and skills of each individual student. Previous work experience and qualifications also play an important role.
Q. How does the college help in getting the accommodation in Oxford?
A. The College Accommodation and Welfare Officer is responsible for arranging accommodation for majority of the students. The college checks on the suitability of a particular lodging and the Accommodation Officer carries out regular inspections, ensuring student health and welfare issues. Students who wish to arrange their own accommodation may also consult the Accommodation Officer for help and advice.
Q. How many hours of the week do we study in the college?
A. The teaching hours at the college are 15- 20 hours per week. Students are expected to put in another 20-25 of self-study per week.
Q. Will I get the fee refund if I do not get the visa?
A. The full fee will be refunded to the students if they do not get a visa in line with the college’s published Terms and Conditions. The college will require the original visa refusal letter and a letter of application from the student. Normally the fee is refunded with in six weeks after getting the refusal letter and the application from the student.
Q. Can I get the fee refunded if I change my mind after getting the visa?
A. If the student changes his mind after issuance of visa to the UK he/she will notget a full fee refund.
Q. What about my bank account and Medical facilities in UK?
A. The college will guide you to open a bank account in UK bank and also will guide you to register with the local Doctor and NHS (National Health Service UK).
Q. In what form should we carry our money?
A. You can carry about £500 in travellers cheques or cash. Students staying in college accommodation are advised to transfer their accommodation fees well in advance of their arrival to the UK.
Q. Do we need to carry our cell phone?
A. There are very good deals available with mobile phones in UK where you get a free phone. If you carry a mobile phone, you can easily buy a SIM on Pay as you basis.
Q. How long does it take to get a part-time job after reaching Oxford?
A. You should give one week to settle down and in the second and third week start applying. Mostly students get a part time job with in 2 to 8 weeks time.
Q. Does the college help in getting the job?
A. The college helps and guides all international students in preparing their job applications and interviews.
Q. How do we get the work permits after the course?
A. Students who complete a master’s or, bachelor’s degree, post-graduate diploma or post-graduate certificate at the college can apply for a 1-year work visa under the government’s International Graduate Scheme. This allows students to work full-time in the UK for the duration of the year. Q. Does the college have placement system for its students in the UK?
A. In the UK, it is student’s own responsibility to look for full-time work once the course is completed. However, help can be given in job searching, for example in preparing CVs and in providing references and letters of recommendation to prospective employers.
Q. Are there any sports facilities in Oxford?
A. Oxford has full sports facilities and the college is happy to give full information.
